This individual will be responsible for managing the implementation of Programs that require extensive cross-functional and cross-site (including international) coordination. His/Her focus will be on New Product Development programs, large cost reduction projects, as well as product improvement initiatives for bath and kitchen faucets. He or she will manage project plans, timelines, budgets, team members, and resources while monitoring the process from concept through implementation. Design for Six Sigma and NPD Stage/Gate processes will be utilized to maximize the quality, speed, and business impact of the projects. The Project Manager will work closely with the Design Engineering, Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, Marketing, Sales and Logistics functions to ensure that projects delivered on time and within budget.


  • Manage all phases of program lifecycle from proposal, through execution, to market launch.
  • Identify key project team members and define roles and responsibilities to create a project team structure in order to deliver the program
  • Facilitate kick-off meetings with all key stakeholders to announce the start of the project and review the overall project plan and gain consensus.
  • Establish alliances with other departments and organizations by recognizing dependencies in order to assess potential partnership and commitment to the program. Departments are, but not limited to: Engineering, Procurement, Design, Brand, Product Management, Product Qualification, Technical Graphics, etc…
  • Monitor project progress and measure performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders.
    • Lead cross functional teams
    • Breaking work down into manageable tasks required to meet project objectives and assigning and/or directing the work of others.
    • Organize weekly meetings and track x-functional team progress through action item list
    • Coordinate the work of project team members to ensure project goals are achieved
    • Track new component status of in-house and purchased items
    • Develop and maintain project schedule that will roll up into the overall program schedule
  • Identify Risks and formulating and executing abatement plans
  • Facilitate x-functional design reviews, DFMEA’s or deploy other DFFS tools as needed
  • Report progress to senior management in regular Stage Gate presentations
  • Monitors cost for both project and product assuring actual cost is on target / within budget.


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably mechanical engineering
  • In depth understanding of technical drawings, material specifications or other technical specifications
  • Familiar with manufacturing processes such as casting, die casting, plastic injection molding, machining decorative finishes and assembly
  • Strong leadership skills, results oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Candidates with Spanish and or Chinese language fluency are highly preferred
  • Two or more years of experience in new product or process design/development.
  • Must be able to travel up to 35%.
  • Two or more years of experience in new product or process design/development preferred

Knowledge of MS Project or equivalent project management software is preferred
