Overview

Hands-on leader that maintains systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts; and supervising staff.  Contributes to overall plant success by participating or leading efforts to improve plant and employee safety, product quality, and improving overall plant and equipment reliability. Develops, directs and coordinates maintenance activities and projects which involve both mechanical and electrical components. 

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and hold direct reports accountable for work performed
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and control issues that may occur in plant equipment
  • Develop and manage Preventative Maintenance program to improve tooling, equipment, and minimize machine downtime
  • Coach, mentor, train and direct resources assigned in the key areas
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to leadership group relating to 3rd party maintenance assistance
  • Help develop and manage maintenance budget and expenses
  • Install electrical (single & 3-phase), air, and data lines as required to support plant projects and infrastructure needs
  • Install or disassemble machinery as required to support growth or replacement equipment

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge: 7+ years related experience in a manufacturing environment, 3+ years of supervisory skills and experience
  • Experience: Experience working with robotic and CNC equipment, programming experience preferred
  • Competencies (Abilities): Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills; Strong Electrical and Mechanical knowledge supported by strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail, Ability to read electrical schematics, Working knowledge of ISO, SPC, and continuous improvement methods, Strong computer skills.
