Overview

The Senior Director in this role will lead all business systems and software development teams and provide guidance and supervision. As a member of the IT leadership team this role will have fiscal responsibilities and will focus on IT Transformation strategy implementation for all related business systems areas.

Responsibilities

This person must be very dynamic, willing and focused on sucessfully bringing changes to the IT organization in alignment with the IT Transformation strategy guidelines. This leader will drive the business systems organization to the next level. Must be naturally inclined to manage details, plan contingencies, and execute against rigorous project management deadlines. Therefore, this individual must have deep knowledge of world-class development methodologies, detailed project management discipline, and robust system lifecycle processes.

Technology Innovation

-Create a working culture, atmosphere, and team structure to ensure focus on innovation-led solutions

-Collaborate with our internal teams to identify enterprise platforms that have the capabilities to assist the business to achieve their objectives and grow

SAP Center of Excellence

- Put together a SAP COE team that will be responsible and capable to:

-Regulate and govern all related activities

-Reduce current level of customizations

-Introduce best industry practices 

-Identify the right talent to formulate the organization

-Work closely with Change Management and Business Systems teams to implement processes and best practices       

Enterprise Business Systems and Integration

- Provide a delivery roadmap for all current and future state Business Systems capabilities, System Integration Platforms, and Data Services that align to the annual business plan and priorities

- Create means to attain, track, and publish results that are consistent, measurable, and beneficial to internal and external customers

- Build, develop, and scale high performing team by leveraging technology /supplier innovators where feasible to ensure innovative speed to market solutions

Business Intelligence & Analytics

- Work with key business stakeholders to define business driven metrics and analytics required to make sound business decisions

- Partner with our Insights and Analytics team to consolidate all available data and build the right backend architecture to support large data manipulations in a single and secure location within our network

- Provide leadership and direction to the technical team

- Align to current and future state business requirements

- Build and develop a highly effective team which will iteratively grow, mature, and evolve business data functions to ensure accurate and timely access to data

- Align with Business Executive to provide leadership for the Development of key management and operational dashboards to ensure Business metrics, KPIs, and indicators are supported

HR Systems

- Create an efficient high output IT HR systems team

- Transform and consolidate all HR platforms into enterprise solutions with HR leadership guidance, approval and support

- Implement an IT shared services model to provide outstanding support services regardless of geographical location

Software Development

- Introduce best practices and identify the right talent to drive the organization to the next level

- Ensure Standardization in software development platforms

- Work closely with Mexican Software development team members to grow the organization and build career paths for employee retention

- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, resolve prioritization issues and mature the team

EDI

- Convert the existing organization from day-to-day operations to establishing EDI Services

- Use an outsource model to improve operations and services

- Ensure a smooth transition to a more agile operation model

- Create new partnerships with vendors and build software capabilities that will enhance automation levels and work seamlessly with SAP  

User Support Services

- Expand the team to be able cover all Level 1 support requests for all IT functions (Business Systems, infrastructure, Digital and Consumer Engagement, Security and Compliance and IT Manufacturing)

- Create IT Newsreader communication process and periodically establish an IT support booth services

training

- Implement a training program to assist the business get up to speed with any related business systems and apps

- Follow train the trainer approach to reach as many employees/super users as possible

- Establish Regular Business Training courses

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 15 Years’ of overall Technology industry experience
  • 10 Years’ experience in the Consumer Goods industry
  • 10 Years’ experience in a Progressive Management & Enterprise Platform leadership
  • 10 Years’ experience in planning, organizing, executing and leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives
  • 10 Years’ experience in SAP applications and ecosystem
  • 10 Years’ experience in Software Development
  • 10 Years’ experience in discipline Project Management methodologies
  • Hands –on, approach on business systems implementation, industry best practices implementation, budgeting and large team management is a must.
  • Deep knowledge of world-class development methodologies, and robust system lifecycle processes is mandatory.
