Overview

The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining the quality and reliability of the products and services.  The QCS is required to verify all such work, identify non-compliance issues, service customer needs, help to resolve these in a cost effective and timely fashion with integrity and trust implied by the American Standard Brands programs. QCS is responsible for the efficient and effective performances of testing in conformance with the QC 400 regulations and standards. The QCS will report to the Director of Field Quality.

 

Responsibilities

  • Determine whether finished products are of a specified quality and attempt to determine the causes of product defects that may be found; develop methods for reducing their occurrences. 
  • Inspect and test products; evaluate the data and prepare summaries to show how the product might differ from existing standards of quality and reliability
  • Suggest changes in how products are made to achieve the best quality possible
  • Recommend methods to minimize the amount of quality defects
  • Develop and control an Quality Control system for the TTG line
  • Establish Technical Observation (Ceramic base) feedback to all manufacturing and supply companies.
  • Maintain an Inbound audit system for components, new products, special request, historical, and random audits.
  • Establish and maintain a filing system for all projects, audits, and customer complaints with solutions.
  • Assist Distribution Manager on reducing damage loss through Quality Control measures.
  • Coordinate and execute re-work, random product audits, and corrective actions on sub-standard products.
  • Perform all test and procedures to the Q. C. 400 Inspection Manual.
  • Establish training and directing workers on special projects.
  • Communicate with Customer Service daily to focus on Current areas of concerns.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in engineering or equivalent through work experience.
  • Diverse knowledge of Microsoft products and exposure to SAP. 
  • Must be able to lift 65 lbs on a regular basis. 
  • A background in plumbing/chinaware manufacturing desired. 
  • Must be able to work independently and make decisions daily.
