    This position is working for Amstan Logisitcs. Amstan Logistics is a provider of a full range of logistics services to American Standard and their customers and vendors in addition to over 300 customers outside the American Standard family. Amstan operates as a licensed property broker. In 2015, Amstan sales will exceed $80 million.


    The Amstan Controller serves as the finance business partner to the leadership team by providing financial leadership in the planning and execution of business goals and objectives. This role manages the financial performance of the company including: developing, implementing and adherence to financial controls; planning; forecasting; reporting; and analyzing business drivers, risks, and operational metrics. The position directs the activities of the Finance Department including building organizational capability within the finance function by hiring and developing finance personnel and developing financial acumen of the management team. As part of the business leadership team, this position is responsible for supporting and driving profitable growth.


    Develops, implements and maintains financial controls


    Directs the monthly accounting close and ensure the timely completion and validity of all financial data and reports for both internal and external preparation.


    Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.


    Directs preparation of annual operating plans, budgets and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.


    Provides management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.


    Works to develop and maintain financial reporting systems appropriate to meet business reporting needs.


    Reviews Accounting resource needs to determine if staffing is adequate to meet all demands and deadlines and ensure tasks are completed accurately and timely.


    Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.


    Maintains relations with LIXIL Corporate Accounting and Treasury to insure functional reporting requirements are met.


    • CPA or Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • High level of experience with Microsoft software programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) or similar type software.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports and legal documents.
    • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
    • Ability communicate effectively both verbally and written on any issues confronting the accounting department.
    • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
