  • Overview

    The Sales Manager is responsible for managing the selling process of DPI products to and through select accounts within a defined sales territory.

     

    This position is working for DPI, Decorative Panels, DPI is under the LWTA umbrella of companies.

    Responsibilities

    • Increase the sales of products through select accounts and enhance profitability.
    • Develop and implement market driven sales programs with each account.
    • Build strong relationships with key decision makers at assigned accounts.
    • Secure new business in defined territory (geography & channels) in support of the Company’s strategies.
    • Work with product management to develop product lines and product strategy.
    • Work in conjunction with finance and management to maximize sales and profits.
    • Identify and exploit market opportunities.
    • Attend and work trade shows as required.
    • Significant travel required, may include international travel depending on assigned territory.
    • Perform all duties in a safe manner.
    • Perform other duties as required.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor Degree in Business/Marketing preferred.
    • 7 or more years of experience selling consumer products, preferably in the Building Materials market, or
    • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.

    • Good organizational skills.
    • Ability to develop strategic internal/external relationships.
    • Self-motivated and ability to set own priorities.
    • Good working knowledge of DPI manufacturing/finishing processes.
    • Good understanding of the components of product cost/profitability.
    • Good understanding of the market place and product expectations of consumers.
    • Good understanding of the distributor channel, distributor expectations, financial and margin requirements.
    • Good computer knowledge.
    • Perform all duties safely
    • Perform other duties as required.
