  • Overview

    This position will be responsible for minimizing the accumulation of Excess and Obsolete inventory and maximize value received through the liquidation process with our 3rd party buyers.  This position will also assist in process improvements across all functions to reduce the amount of future overstock materials and parts across our operations in North America.

    Responsibilities

    • Review and analyze trends in Excess and Obsolete inventory at all Lixil Americas’ plants and distribution centers 
    • Identify and track opportunities for sales and marketing to reduce negatively trending products
    • Recommend products for discounted sales opportunities
    • Make disposal recommendations for any products with limited sales or liquidation opportunities
    • Work with liquidators to maximize recovery value of Excess & Obsolete inventory
    • Manage liquidation process from order entry to final sale including following up with all appropriate parties
    • Own and manage all processes contributing to excess inventory, including product analytics, viable wholesale or online sales opportunities, liquidation and disposal 
    • Review and track charitable contributions
    • Facilitate the SKU pruning process with Product, Channel Sales and Supply Chain teams to ensure appropriate transition plans are in place to work down finished goods and raw material inventories
    • Record and analyze key KPI’s and report out monthly on performance 
    • Standardize processes across all regions and brands
    • Identify and lead process improvement efforts
    • Work with others in the organization to develop inventory-related policies and procedures. Document and communicate those policies and procedures to stakeholders
    • Provide financial support and analysis to Director of Pricing

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or Project Management is required
    • Experience communicating and negotiating with customers or 3rd party vendors is a plus
    • Strong proficiency in managing and analyzing large sets of data in Excel is required, familiarity with SAP preferred
    • Ability to analyze current process improvement and influence at all levels to drive process improvement opportunities
    • Strong MS Access experience
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
    • Strong analytical skills to evaluate root cause analysis
    • Knowledge of plumbing products or similar background in consumer durable goods is preferred
