The Logistics Continuous Improvement Manager will partner with internal and external stakeholders and is responsible for identifying and leading transportation & logistics continuous improvement initiatives.
Understand how the LWTA transportation/logistics function supports the requirements and satisfaction of our customers and end consumers.
Identify and implement best practice strategies in support of our customer and end consumer requirements.
Lead improvements in the transportation/logistics function through technology implementation, process development, service enhancements, and cost reduction strategies.
Conduct analysis and manage projects of varying complexity.
Develop, implement, and track service/performance metrics.
Train and coach our distribution and transportation team members for performance management and improvement.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Logistics/Supply Chain Management with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
Experience with order fulfillment of durable consumer goods through both trade/retail and direct-to-consumer channels.
Knowledge and experience with multiple transportation modes including truckload, intermodal, LTL, and small package.
Experience managing logistics activities across multiple geographies (US/Canada/Mexico).
General understanding of various supply chain technologies, processes and standards including: EDI, Web Portals, ERP, TMS/WMS, Scorecards, Vendor Compliance, GS1/GDSN, Business Intelligence, etc.
Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 and/or SAP HANA.
Experience with Transportation Management software (MercuryGate preferred).
Working knowledge of MS Office suite. Must be proficient with spreadsheets and databases.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
