  • Overview

    Working closely with internal and external partners, the Logistics Manager is responsible for providing logistics management support for LWTA.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop logistics strategies and manage logistics operational processes.Lead improvements in the logistics function through process development, service enhancements, and cost reduction strategies.
    • Collaborate with the functional counterparts of our customers to manage operational performance and to identify/implement process efficiencies and improvements.
    • Work cross-functionally to support onboarding initiatives of new products, programs, and customers
    • Conduct logistics analysis and manage logistics projects of varying complexity.
    • Develop, implement, and track service/performance metrics.
    • Train and coach our distribution and transportation team members for performance management and improvement.
    • Conduct internal and external customer presentations

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Logistics/Supply Chain Management with a minimum of 7 years experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
    • Experience with order fulfillment of durable consumer goods, with emphasis on Big Box Retail and E-Commerce fulfillment
    • Experience managing logistics activities across multiple geographies (US/Canada/Mexico).
    • Knowledge of transportation management and cost/pricing strategies.
    • Knowledge of freight pay & audit processes.
    • Basic understanding of Supply Chain technologies, processes and standards including: EDI, Web Portals, ERP, TMS/WMS, Scorecards, Vendor Compliance, GS1/GDSN, etc.
    • Basic understanding of SAP ECC 6.0.   Experience with SAP TM preferred.
    • Working knowledge of MS Office suite.    Must be proficient with spreadsheets and databases.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Able to travel on occasion (as required)
